Cancer Chicks host events, experiences and retreats to help create lifelong memories and meaningful friendships. Without our generous sponsors; these memorable events would not be possible.
Our Big Kitchen x Cancer Chicks
Let’s bake and connect at Our Big Kitchen
Our Big Kitchen is a community run kitchen where meals are prepared for distribution to those in need, across Sydney. This event gives you a wonderful opportunity to meet, chat and connect with fellow Cancer and Chronic Chicks whilst giving back to the community!
When: Friday 7th Oct, 10am-12:30pm
Where: Our Big Kitchen, 36 Flood Street Bondi, NSW 2026
Sydney Respite Retreat 2022
In February 2022 we hosted a respite retreat for thirteen Cancer Chicks. The weekend included self-growth workshops, manicures, a Makeover Masterclass, an Outdoor Cinema, a luxury dining experience at the Berowra Waters Inn, a pilates class and more.
Harbour Side Picnic 2020
Some of our Sydney Cancer Chicks enjoyed a gorgeous picnic by the water. The event included pastries provided by @sonofabakerau, nail manicure kits by @itspersonail, and a range of gifts provided by our generous sponsors.
Virtual Self Growth & Support Workshop
In this event, wellbeing coach, Wendy, helped us check in with our wellbeing, find gratitude and gain connections with fellow cancer and chronic chicks! Our most common retreat feedback is that Wendy was instrumental in shaping their outlook and ability to open up, and we were so excited to make this a nation wide event our chicks to experience!
AAFW VIP Experience 2022
Cancer Chicks teamed up with AfterPay Fashion Week to put on a VIP experience for some lucky Cancer Chicks. The evening included a luxury dinner, transport and VIP seating at an exclusive runway show that featured a Cancer Chick Ambassador walking the runway.
Mac Makeup Masterclass
We teamed up with the incredible team at MAC Cosmetics to run a virtual Makeup Masterclass for Cancer Chicks all over Australia! We gain a lot of valuable tips and tricks on the perfect makeup and skincare routine, especially how to draw on some brows that are on fleek!
Incase you missed it, you can watch it here!
Cancer Chicks spent the morning volunteering at Thread Together. This event gave the girls a wonderful opportunity to meet, chat and connect with fellow Cancer Chicks whilst giving back to the community!
“Thank you ever so much for this weekend away! I truly enjoyed every second of it and I felt like a true princess. I honestly really needed this, meeting every single one of the lovely girls was something I will forever appreciate. I finally found a place where I feel completely accepted for who I am.”
